Principal at Dau Design and Consulting Inc. providing services to Architects, End-Users and Manufacturers in lighting and product design. He is responsible for the lighting design for WMEAC, North America’s first Double-Gold LEED building; he has led or been a member of the design team for many other high-profile projects around the world. He has been a guest speaker at many important lighting forums, including LightFair International, North America’s most important lighting trade show, Neocon and Neocon East, Strategies in Light, and Sacramento Municipal Utility District's (SMUD) Education Center; some of his seminars are accredited with AIA and IIDA. He is an active member of the Illuminating Engineering Society, serving as Vice President (President Elect) 2023-2024, member and past Chair of the Office Lighting Committee, and the Computer Committee; previously, he served as a member of the Board of Directors of the IES as well as Chair of the Global Development Committee between 2017 and 2021. Over his 30 year career, he has been granted more than 120 US and International patents for SSL related inventions. Wilson is Lighting Certified by the NCQLP (National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions) and a LEED Accredited professional by the USGBC.
